• Go for a nature walk: Whether you live in the city or on a farm, nature is all around us. Find the local trees and wildlife in your area and talk about them with your kids while exploring the neighborhood.

• Refresh in the nearest pool, lake, or ocean: There’s nothing like a fresh dip to escape the summer heat. Chances are you have a community pool, lake, river, or sea within driving distance to enjoy.
• Check out a local farm: Many local farms have summer camps or events for kids. You could also enjoy the weather and go strawberry, blueberry, or tomato picking.

• Have a day at the park: Create a picnic, bring a ball, and let your kids live it up on the park’s playgrounds.
